I want to really check out this new display. What movie would you recommend I buy from the iTunes store to give this badboy a workout. Action, colors, sound, etc...

(My HDTV is 720p circa 2006, so I'm hoping to be uber-stoked by the resolution!)

I don't know if you will be uber-stoked because it's still a 10" display, but look for something fairly newer like Transformers or Dark Night, etc.

How about 1080p trailers, anyone know where to download some in the right format?

I tried to stream from the apple trailer app but it was not high quality.

I hate the movie but avatar is hands down the best movie to show off any great screen! That's why best buy uses it on damn near every tv. I watched Halloween in 1080 that I already had and it was pretty good.

I would suggest Pixar's "Up". That one'll definitely show off the bright colors and detail, and is available in 1080p in the iTunes store.

Up or Toy Story 3.
It's a little harder to recommend another movie since Pixar is unanimously loved.

I second someone's suggestion for Star Trek. I had already purchased it, so in iTunes I was able to redownload it, but this time in 1080p. Looks great.

Awesome ideas! I have seen them all but never at 1080p. I think Star Trek might get the nod.

Just a suggestion, but there are TV shows that are free and available as 1080p (was browing around last night with my 3rd Gen Apple TV). The entire first season of Pan Am, and lots of first eposides of shows that have premiered in the past couple of weeks are in iTunes for free.

The easiest way to find trailers, is download Apple's trailer app (which is free).
