I was wondering that the other day. All the pictures straight on the white phone have the aluminum with that blue glow.

It's not a dedicated iPhone page, it's more to show iOS features. All the iOS pages (iPod touch, iPhone, iPad), share images. If we went off your logic then people would be wondering why some iPod touch's have earpieces and others have a 9.7 inch display.
