WhatsApp Quietly Pulled From iOS AppStore.

Mysteriously, and without warning whatsapp has disappeared from the app store.

Anybody knows what the story is?

they have expressed through their official twitter account that Apple removed it because a new version is coming... and waiting for approval maybe the current version has a major flaw apple found and just axed it while the new one gets approved

Greedy apple shows its face again.

"You're competing with us on iMessage, and I'm going to take your app down"

    Buy a vowel...

Whatsapp pulled the app themselves because the current version has a security flaw. The update is going thru the standard approval process now.

Why yes, because Apple makes sooo much money on their FREE iMessage program.

Because iMessage itself brings Apple tons of revenue right?

seems the story is something else. There are so many useless apps on the app store that people buy them and later they find out that they have been cheated as the apps are not working the same way they are advertised. Why doesnt apple remove those apps?

Damn didn't think anyone could be this clueless. Do you even have an iPhone?! Show me a screenshot when you had an iAd popup.

Keep dreaming. Whatsapp is trying to replace carrier SMS only.

They may be trying to replace carrier SMSES but they are competitors in the market with every other IM application including Viber, Yahoo messenger and Skype.

I don't see why them adding voIP is not considered plausible:confused:

New version of WhatsApp 2.7.0 released in the Irish App Store.

Comes through as an update if you have it installed already, not coming up on the search function yet.
