As the tittle says... When is it coming?! We've been waiting months now. Why the delay?!
5.0 was released like two months ago... why do you need a new upgrade? Better yet, do you know of anything 5.1.0 might bring that you "need" it that bad?
yes, most of the improvements I want relate to iTunes match.
1) Stop it constantly polling, battery life has fallen throgh the floor with match on.
2) be able to specify local files. I want a couple of playlists to always be on my phone, match removes them arbitarily.
3)be able to add non match files to a phone with match enabled.
4) match recheckes everytime you select a playlist for additions, takes 5 or so seconds to select a playlist.
the big one, stability, core apps crash several times a day (settings, iPod, and so on)
Probably after Apple's next press event. Whenever that is
You don't need a 0.1.0 increase then, all you need a 0.0.1 increment in the software update. Those are all bugs you mention.
sometime after today
2 and 3 are features.
I don't really care what they call it, but I'm sure I've seen that 5.1 is in beta, I've seen no reference to 5.0.2.
I could use the update for better battery life
You never know. I can claim its a 5.2.0 release... but you never know. We can sit here and guess all day long. In the end, 5.1.0 will not be out anytime soon.
Based on what?
I know my guess is as good as yours, but you seem quite sure?
this post makes absolutely no sense.....
Yah there's a 5.1 beta out right now (the 2nd version may i remind you) but who knows if its going to be a 5.2.0 release or 5.1.0.....
Safari crashes regularly now and never did before -- iPad 2 & 4S.
Now I connect a call and suddenly people can't hear me.
Wouldn't mind seeing a normalized battery drain, as well.
I'm a looong time iPhone lover, but this is getting to be a bother. C'mon Apple!
Now that Apple launches iPhone 4S in China and 21 other countries, isn't a good idea to fix the problems before the 13. ?
Oh another thread asking...not like we havent had 1 of these in the last 48 hours or so...
I'm looking forward to being able to delete individuals photos in the photo stream. That alone is worth the upgrade to me.
These are the exact issues apple needs to fix. Safari crashes a lot, battery fix, and no audio issues (whether you can't hear people or vice versa). They're pretty big problems compared to everything else.
i want the mail app to stop crashing in the background... which means i have no mail alerts till i manually close and reopen the app... amateur ****
You can claim it's 5.2.0 but we all know 5.1.0 is in beta so it shouldn't be long before they release it.
Wirelessly posted (iPhone 4S: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3)
*throws dart at calendar*
Dude, who cares? Enjoy the fact that you have an iPhone. It could be worse.
Even if the mail app has crashed shouldn't your mail still be pushed to your device. Even if you have Gmail and therefore no push your mail should still be fetching mail every 15 minutes or whatever time you set it for.
Hopefully soon. I'd like to see battery life improvements and not having to wait a couple seconds before saying "hello" when I answer a call. I don't care what number they call it, just fix the bugs and I'll be happy.
No it crashes. So nothing happens till I open it and than it shuts down the app and re-opens
Knock it off guy
You're the only one arguing with the guy about what to call it. You asked why he wanted it and he to,d you and you jumped on him bc he didn't call it the right name, according to you of course. Relax guy.
Hopefully they fix that annoying video scrubbing bug on 5.1. That is all i am looking forward to. So annoying that it rarely works and almost always i end up pulling down the notification center while trying to slide my finger across the seek bar.
