I'm curious to know how many members bother to give Apple feedback when they don't like an aspect, experience a recurring problem or have a suggestion they would like to see addressed in software/hardware.

Because I'm only interested in those who are vocal about something and whether or not they take the time or are aware of the option to give Apple feedback. That 4th question wouldn't really apply to them.

I've sent some things into the feedback on their website. It's impossible for us to know whether they actually get the ideas or if they are just thrown away or put off to the side to ignore.

However, my thread describing predictions about WWDC 2013 and what I wanted in the new operating systems actually contained most of the features that made it into OS X Mavericks and iOS 7. This makes me wonder if they actually do visit here to look for ideas.

MacRumors has relayed that they've seen specific builds of current and future iOS and OSX in their user logs. What they are doing here is speculative. However since they reiterate how much they care about UX, I don't think it's a stretch they are gleaning info and opinions about their products from here. I don't think anyone is getting paid to hang out here though.

I more often submit bug reports, rather than use feedback. But I surely give feedback in that way.
