When did you buy the computer - you only have 1 year to get it?

The absolute cheapest place is ebay, but that is rife with counterfeit versions.

I'd say BH Video or Amazon

^^This.

I've bought AC from both, generally the same price. I bought AC for one rMBP and one Mini from Amazon just last week - with Prime, for the rMBP ordered it at @ 4 pm and it was at the door @ 8:15 the next morning, registered with Apple by 9 am. Easy peasy. $105 less than Apple's price. :D

The Mini's AC showed up the next morning. $30 less than Apple's price. QED.

I still have about a month left to buy it. I'll probably use Amazon. Love that company!

Definitely worth it just for the screen itself, if that every had to be replaced it could run a lot more than the cost of the insurance.

BH and Amazon are the best, if you get the Education discount it would be around the same from Apple.

Hi everyone

I'm proud to announce that I have officially ordered AppleCare for my 13" Macbook Pro Retina!!!

My justification is that at times I run youtube music videos on chrome, while also running Google Earth, amongst other tasks.

My computer gets REALLY hot.

I pretty much use my computer to a pulp every day for multiple reasons including work.

It's good to know I am covered should there be a problem in the future.

Double Applecare Plan

Hi everyone!

In january 2015 i order my applecare plan threw apple canada.
UPS have shown that they had delivered and it never did. Call Apple to explain what happen and they have ship me another one.

Now recently just about 3 weeks ago I received another AppleCare plan box. I look at the paper and it was the one that was suppose to be ship originally. I call UPS and ask them what the hell. Turn out they found it in the lost bin.

Anyway could not understand how is that possible since it says it was deliver and it was never because it was in their lost bin.

Well now i got this brand new seal Applecare box. It is for Macbook Pro 15 inch Retina display.

My question is : Would it be safe to sell it? Or did Apple cancel the original shipping box and now the serial number in the box is perhaps void?

Dont want to sell is the serial is now void since every box has a tag to scan on.

I dont know, advices?

Thank you

I'd contact Apple and ask them what they want to do. They may ask you to send it back or they may let you keep it.
