iPod touch where to get free apps/games

since im going to be getting my ipod touch soon i was wondering where you guys get your free apps and games and w/e else.
so far i know of

There are thousands on the iTunes App store. Or do you live in a country without an iTunes store?

Appshopper is just a list of what is in the AppStore in iTunes. I find it easier to search and see what is new.

The only way you are going to get stuff outside of iTunes is in the jailbreak community, and I couldn't tell you about that.
