Whats your Fav. metroid game?
Super Metroid was the best with prime1 & 2 close 2nd and 3rd.
Super Metriod, followed closely by the Origional for the NES and then Fusion for the GBA.
To be honest I really didn't like prime at all. It might stem from my dislike of the GC.
I never finished Metroid Prime, but the levels I made it through were amazing.
I never finished MP2 (I had to find the Sky Temple keys), but it was very good. I did finished MP1, incredible game.
However, I never played Super Metroid. I did play Metroid (which frustrated me, no map) and Metroid Fusion (which I loved).
how is metroid pinball anyway?
the original metriod was just soo hard and fun i loved it. i can't wait to get the rev and play it again after all this time.
Gotta say the original. I still have it for my NES, too, I wonder if it's worth anything...
I love al the sid scrolling Metroid based games
Pity the creator died in a car craash
The prime series was disappointing.
I finished 87% of prime, then got bored.
this was due to weapon upgrades being "left" around.
not somthing the orignial games was famous for
I also enjoyed the gameboy PS outing for the metroid series (even though one was a remake)
I wish they return metroid to its original format
Long live 2d games!!!!
Metroid Prime for me
Heaps of fun, the graphics are just perfect for the DS. The few tables I've unlocked are all completely different to each other, but all look perfect for the Metroid universe. The rumble pack is a crazy addition I just wish it worked with other games, namely Mario Kart. I love pinball and Metroid Pinball is probably the most fun I've had playing "video" pinball since the days of the Amiga. I'd give it 9.5/10 here, it's amazing to see how well they managed to merge Metroid and Pinball and stay true to both.
That's a tough one.....either the original on NES or Super Metroid on SNES......I'm partial to the original though b/c I did not know what to expect when it first came out. But I've loved every Metroid game.....maybe the Gameboy (Metroid II) version is my least favorite.
Metroid Prime 1. I liked 2 but it wasn't until the end that I got really into it. Where Prime 1 was set all over the place, Prime 2 seemed to be more level based.
Though I found Fusion and Zero Mission to be incredible.
Cant really pick a specific game I like best. Metroid games have just never let me down.
1) Super Metroid
2) Metroid Prime
3) Metroid Fusion
4) Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
6) Metroid II: Return of Samus
I haven't played Metroid Pinball or Zero Mission.
Praxis, you really need to try Super Metroid. In my opinion, it's one of the best games of all time.
It's on my list of games to download on the Revolution, along with Mario RPG and Zelda: Majora's Mask
After much thought:
2) Super Metroid
3) Metroid Prime
4) Metroid Fusion
5) Metroid Zero Mission
6) Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
7) Metroid Prime Hunters (preview DS)
8) Metroid II: Return of Samus
2D 'Metroid' games only - thanks.
Also, the DS rumble pak works with 'Mario And Luigi'. Sadly, it does not work for Mario Kart (probably to give you a longer battery life while playing online) - which makes me a bit unhappy.
Thanks I might have to check Mario and Luigi out.
I just got Mario and Luigi 2 and all I can say is WOW!
I've only played Prime 1 & 2 - both are fantastic, but 1 edges it for me.
I've just remembered that I have an old SNES knocking around, so I'm going to try & find a copy of Super Metroid either on ebay, or in some of the second hand shops in London. This forum is bad for my wallet - too many recommendations that I've had to go out and buy!
I haven't played any of the GBA or GC metroid games.
But Super Metroid is definitely my favorite, followed by the original and then Metroid 2.... Man, that was such a bad game. Does anyone else have trouble playing with GB games anymore? They're just so goddamn slow!
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening is the only GameBoy game I still play. It's superior to many GBA games today, in fact. I think I liked it better than Minish Cap (which was still a pretty good game).
Don't worry the Metroid people come out of the woodwork if you call for us.
Super Metroid is my favorite game. Followed by Zero Mission and then the first Metroid Prime.
Super Metroid is the game that REALLY got me into gaming. It holds my top spot over all games.
Oh man - something else I'm now going to have to try & find. I had Link's Awakening years ago, and loved it, but my sister sold it along with my original gameboy
There's also a GameBoy Color version called Link's Awakening DX. It's supposed to be basicly the same thing with color and other enhancements.
