With all the exciting new iPad-centric features announced for iOS11, I've been trying to work out which ones are exclusive to the iPad Pro line and which ones will roll out to the other iPads (probably Air 2 and 2017 model with 2 GB RAM)? Obviously the Pencil-centric features such as notes now and inline drawing won't make it, but I'm intregued to see how much of the multitasking, drag and drop and dock makes it to the non Pro models.

As far as I'm aware, 4GB is required for 3 simultaneous apps. Any less than this and the 2 split-screen apps grey out (like the full screen app greys out when you invoke slide over on iPad Air 1).

I think that's the only feature exclusive to 12.9 and 10.5 Pros but I'm happy to be shown to be wrong.

As far as I know you’re correct. Even the 9.7” Pro pauses the split apps when you pull in slide over, due to the lack of 4Gb RAM you mention.

I am not sure 3 simultaneous apps won't work on non-pro iPads. Here is a demo of iOS 11 multi-tasking on an iPad Air 2.

    I could be mistaken.

I think on the Pros you can have another app open without graying out. So 3 apps plus the video as apposed to 2 apps and the video.
Still pretty nice on the air 2.

I can’t even get three placeholder areas to appear. If I try, the third app just snaps back to the dock. What’s your secret?
