Considering the number one reason I got a new Macbook Pro was the unibody construction, I was just curious who at Apple deserves the most credit for this awesome design.

I know it was started with the Macbook Air but thats all I know.

    Anyone got an idea? Ives?

it's not like a unibody construction is a flash of inspired genius. it's most likely the work of a lengthy, iterative process with the effort and ideas of a multitude of people. with ives at the end to take credit for it since he's the face of that department

i'd point my finger at Jonathan Ive as well; and yeah, it's Ive, not Ives. :)
