I actually do feel a little bit off, anxiety or nervous stomach or something, and I am going to call in sick tomorrow. I think that it is totally justified, and it just so happens the new phone will be at my doorstep tomorrow, so that is good. The cherry on top is that my workload for the day will all be dumped onto a huge galaxy s3 fanboy. ahhh, doesn't get much better then that. Who else is calling in sick?
I took the day off. Good thing I did. "Scuff gate" is real. I may end up in a line most of the damn day after my phone arrives.
I already had the day off before the on-sale date was announced. Convenient Also happened same way with the iPad 2.
I just had the phone delivered to my job.... I have not reached that level of geekdom where I feel the need to take the day off for a phone.
You're going to wait in a line all day, to exchange a perfectly good phone, because it might begin to scuff? Really?
For the iPhone 4, my "stop by the Apple store first thing in the morning and come to work with my new phone" turned into "umm.. yeah.. this is gonna take a while", which turned into a nice 12+ hour wait and a skipped day of work. For the 5, I've got my appt set for Best Buy for after work.
I would have but my company opens all packages before giving them to employees. I don't want the reception putting her grubby hands all over the phone first.
Not calling in sick as Friday is usually my day off, but my boss did call me today to ask me to work tomorrow and I politely told her I couldn't.
I can't because I'm getting it delivered to work but I'm sure after I get it delivered I'll start feeling a little sick. I feel it already....
Not me... FedEx is holding my phones for me and I'll pick them up on the way to work. I'll bring my MacBook Air so I can get it all set up. Shouldn't take long
