Watches are shipped UPS, not Fedex.
I would think that the watches are for people who have already had a charge placed on their credit card. No charge then not shipped from what I understand.
Sometimes UPS doesn't show you all the info unless you are signed in. But it's definitely not shipping from China, it'll ship Next Day Air from a domestic location. Probably Tennessee or maybe Pennsylvania. It's typical you won't see a "origin scan" update until very late the night before it arrives.
That's what it sounded like. Once it hits US Customs and the manifest is updated.
There was an earlier article that said each plane was capable of carrying 190,000 iPhones. We could see some real progress tonight.
Yeah I do think that is how it happens. They are considered shipped once UPS scans them in the U.S.
That makes sense since the payment would be credited to the U.S. financials.

Desperation? I hope you people are right but everything I ever ordered from Apple resulted in a charge on my card before it shipped and my status also changed. I am waiting on my May 13th-27th black stainless but will not allow this to get my hopes up only to be dashed.
I really hope that's the case! I'm looking forward to hitting the gym with this thing!
It's not desperation when we have seen it happen previous launches and this one as well. Do the research and you'll see.
Not to be rude, but when you ordered something from Apple in the past did it show your shipping began in China where it was produced or at a main carrier hub near your residence. They ship it to the US, charge you when it is near you, and then deliver. The latter is the the way it's been for this launch.
I don't know why, but that EOD is absolutely hilarious to me! I guess I shouldn't be laughing because I got it myself!! But I'd rather laugh than get mad.
