You can't count on anyone but Foxnews for this sort of stuff... (yeah I read Foxnews, sue me).

Does this punishment really fit the crime?

Public humiliation is an excellent tool to fight crimes like soliciting prostitution and helps keep non violent people out of jails.

    I love it.

I love seeing the complete breakdown of our justice system.
I'm glad Fox news is around to report on it!

Ridiculous. Prostitution should be legal. But I do like the chicken suits. :)

I agree that it should be legal, but if you're going to make it a crime, this is an excellent way to punish people.

In my opinion this falls under Cruel and "Unusual" punishment. And is not in accordance with the U.S. Constitution.

    But that's my opinion.

I assume the word justice in the title refers to the "the administration of law" definiton and not the "quality of being just or fair" definition.

"Unusual", that's what I was looking for - humiliation for a crime, that most people probably think isn't all that criminal as criminal activities go? I've read that humiliation punishments aren't that effective for deterring said crime though. I'll try to find the source.

On the other topic, I am opposed to prostitution for personal reasons, but it shouldn't be illegal.

It's not about the humiliation as much as that people don't won't others to know they are doing it.

You dissolve the secrecy and put it out in the open and it's not so desireable any longer.

No cruel and unusual punishment? I'm pretty sure that falls under the category of unusual.

    Cruel and unusual punishment.

Unusual yes, but is it really that cruel though?

let's have more of it then, so it can be commonplace.
