Any suggested replacements for Jon Stewart?
There is no Daily Show without Jon...
Al Sharpton since he is hated by Faux News even more than Jon Stewart was
Does anyone really have any love for Sharpton?
Bassem Youssef is my top pick. He has experience in hosting a similar show, he's hilarious (loved his appearance on Monday) and it would be a nice ****-you to the el-Sisi regime that banned him in Egypt.
Jessica Williams is my first choice.
Bassem Youssef is my second.
Jon Stewart's not on the poll...
I'm really hoping his appearance on Monday was foreshadowing something. I'd love to see him as a regular contributor at the very least.
Same here. That was one of the best episodes in a long time.
A lot of times it seems like Jon Stewart has to slow down and mug for the camera with his guests. With Mr Youssef, it was like the old days with Colbert.
How about Steve Buscemi.
From you list I choose Amy Poehler but I'd also prefer Jessica Williams
I dont see how anyone can. The 2 best candidates have already moved on.
Fox news is no doubt rejoicing .
Whoever takes over will have to remake the show, as Stewart did when he took over. That said, I'd like to see a new face get the gig. Any current talent from the show would bring too much baggage with them.
If Comedy Central decides they want to do the same type of show, then they need to get John Oliver.
Yeah, John Oliver would be the best. I don't know what his deal with HBO is and if they could get him out of it or if that's even feasible.
I refuse to see John Olivier leave HBO. One of the main reason his show is amazing is due to lack of censorchip.
The worst choice would be Seth Myers, you need to be funny. I rather see Conan over Seth.
Thats a logical choice but isn't he at HBO?
Ferguson is off the table as he has his own production deal in the works.
The person who would have been perfect for the job 30 years ago was Letterman.
Other - Bassem Youssef
Yes, and I doubt he's going to leave any time soon.
He was great filling in for Jon, but I want Oliver to stay at HBO. He's able to get away with a lot more (and I don't mean saying **** without it being bleeped) on there because there aren't any advertisers. For example - the excellent piece he did last week on the pharmaceutical industry. No way in hell would that have been allowed to air if Pfizer and GSK aired commercials during his show.
Ted Nugent ? Seriously ?
He might fit in well over at Faux News but The Daily Show ?
Already predicted by Hot Tub Time Machine 2...
