Who thought it was clever to disable deleting photos from the Photostream?

How on earth did that escape through usability testing?

Can anyone convince me it is in fact extremely clever?

I agree it is rather stupid to not have the ability to do that.

You can only reset and clear the photostream by going on icloud.com using your pc but that doesn't seem to be working for me either atm. But that gets rid of everything, not able to delete individual photos.

Just imagine a parent telling their child how all of their photos are "good." That's kind of what's going on here... fanboy handholding.

    It's the first release. Chill.

Put in an enhancement request on Apples website

So I should be thankful the Photostream actually stores photos considering it is the first release? :p

The only other way to do it is to turn photstream off in the iCloud settings on that device. Press delete photos then turn it back on. Just found that out.

So Apple makes you upgrade (read: spend) to the newest iPhoto to use a highly touted feature and then proceeds to have massive crashing issues and on top of that, not give you the ability to delete individual photos?

I might have to wait until Photostream is more accessible before I try it out. :\
