I've been discouraged to purchase a couple of clothes because the models simply don't work to me. These models make many of their clothes unappealing and sad, and it makes me sad as well.

    Why are they so sad?

Maybe American Apparel think that their primary customers are sad people. You should write to them and ask. I would be curious to their response. :D

If it's somehow linked to the big-eyed, sad children portraits that become a popular "American look" in the 1960s then the artist Margaret Keane should be blamed.

Probably because they are hungry = P

And if you feel guilty you can always try All American Clothing and All USA Clothing which I linked to in my thread.

Among the brands they sell in both stores; Bayside, Royal Apparel, and A.S. Tees.
