Up until just recently (no changes to my device) I would see a banner flash across the top of my locked device for emails....for some reason, that stopped. Show in lockscreen is turned on and banners are selected for type of notification....when and email comes in it just sounds an alert and nothing is shown on the screen....ideas?

Go into Settings / Notifications and make sure the Mail app is in the Notification Center and that you have the Alerts set up the way you want them for each email account.

This has happened to me a few times before as well. Mail app just seems to remove itself from the Notification Center and it has to be set up again. Don't know why, but it must be a bug in iOS.

i was gonna suggest that, but i assumed that he had already covered that especially since he said it used to work but all of a sudden stopped.
