Insist on sending me crap like this:
I get it too, Gary.
Send them some pr0n
*sifts through library*
That's a stereotypical view of America for us brits, commerically religious...
I'm a youth minister at my church, and even I don't like receiving this stuff...which happens all the time from my teens!
You know, I don't mind that they have faith; I really don't.
But to me, that's a personal thing - maybe something you share with your immediate family (husband, wife, significant other, etc.)
I mean can you imagine what would happen if I spammed all my relatives with atheist propaganda?
I feel like responding: "Stop sending me this crap."
Use the Bounce button in mail. Eventually they'll get the hint.
I'll pray for you iGary
Beacuse of the way your signature was underneath, I thought this was your reply. I think, perhaps, it should be.
You know I'm religious, and yet I also hate this stuff. There are a few people who insist on sending it to me, and I finally told one of them that I would prefer he not send it to me. I don't think he remembered or cared though, because I still get it from him.
my Dad sends me that kind of stuff, though it's usually more political in nature. C'est la vie. It's not usually more than once a week. I guess I can live with that.
Gary, I had a friend who kept sending me this stuff too. It's funny that he's an atheist and he just forwards stuff sent to him (by well meaning American friends of his) Yesterday I trolled XTube, found a great pic of a rectal opening, sent it to him with the suggestion as to where he could put his spam. I've not heard from him since.
who was Kevin
aka Grey Beard
He was trying to save your soul.
Well, tell them so! They'd have to be pretty weird if they were offended by a polite request to desist the religious spamming.
BTW, I agree: it's not really appropriate to be sending things like that around, and just because it mentions God doesn't mean it's not spam.
I don't care if somebody believes these email prayers will change lives, but I don't have time for such piddle.
Wow...that's just lovely. Instead of politely asking him not to send you that stuff, you sent something like that. I just WONDER why you haven't heard from him.
I hate fundamentalist Christian SPAM! If they continue sending those emails, respond with stuff like this:
Oh, I had asked him on many occasions to cease and desist, he'll be back, he always does when he wants something done.
Gary... I think you already know the answer to thsi question. It's because you're gay. And they still cannot accept it, as it's not "natural." But don't worry. We will overcome the religious reich of this country one day, and when we do, you'll be able to walk down the street comfortably, without being harassed by followers of those ****ing hypocritical bigots; The Phelps family.
this should probably be moved to the politics/religious forum now...
Sorry iGary, but I cannot pray for you unless you lose some weight and join my porn cult.
However, you cannot be initiated unless you bring some cash and hot legal teenage girls to the meeting.
Because they believe "It's the thought that counts." ?
And...they can't think of anything better except sending spam e-mail that has been forwarded to them?
I have a group of friends who love forwarding me all sorts of stuff like that....chain letters with cute graphics in them.... it bugs me also.... I just put them in the special mailbox.
If you feel like telling them, "please stop sending me that crap", I guess it's time for you to do that nicely or design a special mailbox for it...
Give your religious family this DVD for christmas:
You know, I'm quite tired of the near-constant assertion than anyone who believes in God doesn't think for themselves. It's rather demeaning and elitist.
