Why do you support Obama or Romney?

I'm more curious about Romney supporters. If their support is an anti Obama vote or they actually like Mitt Romney.

I probably won't vote this time around, I don't live in the US and haven't for a couple years now. As a potential voter though it seems to me that Obama hasn't done enough, and Romney is the only other choice. You will likely see a lot of anti Obama votes just because the economy is in the dumpster still and Romney has a proven record in business.

That sounds like an anti Romney vote. That's an option but not one has picked it yet.

At my work the people who consider themselves moderate republicans are voting for Gary Johnson.

I support my choice because his administration supports working towards equal rights for everyone.

There is zero excuse that tax paying citizens in this country are treated differently and have different rights than other tax (and non-tax) paying citizens.

Romney doesn't believe in gay rights (or womens rights).

How are you so certain? This man changes his mind more oft than an incontinent person changes their underwear.

I don't think Romney changes his mind on anything. He will just say whatever he thinks will get him the most votes. Therefor we can only go on his actual record, which includes backing a bill to ban gay marriage while he was governor of Massachusetts and urging Congress to pass the Federal Marriage Amendment.

I'm a nit picker about polls. These choices are all love or hate choices. You should have included some lesser of evils choices. ;)

I choose Obama because I think he is better than Romney. I don't really consider him "evil" but he is not particularly effective despite what the GOP is pulling. I don't love him.

I like his speeches, but actions speak louder than words, although he could be using his words more consistently for the desired effect over the last 3.5 years. After facing consistent GOP BS, he should have gone public 6 months after the election and pounded the opposition on the public stage continuously selling his proposals directly to US citizens. Based on his campaign promises, he should have gotten us out of Iraq and Afghanistan no later than one year after he was elected. And he should have resolved Guantanamo like he said he would do. He also should have floated proposals to shrink the military, although I realize that based on job numbers that would be tough thing to do (at this point in time), and he should have gotten rid of corporate/ energy subsides.

But I think he'd be better if he did not have the entire GOP fighting him tooth and nail. I think the GOP is guilty of dereliction of duty. The standard that I am applying is that they are obstructionist, opposing anything Obama proposes that involves compromise, even when it is something they would approve of. But they can't allow Obama to have any victories. They are willing to take the country done to accomplish it, and then they have the nerve to blame him for getting relatively little done!

How do you know he's gay? I just thought of him as a small business owner supporting Obama.

Easy vote to make. Anything to keep Romney out of running a whole friggin country (it's the frigging that I imagine he doesn't like and wants stamped out).

Since I still have the right to vote in the USA I will vote for Obama. My reasons are not only because I like him and prefer his policies but also because I think Mitt Romney & Co are completely abhorrent. And just when I think it can't get worse, it does. Over and over again. How any sane, educated person could vote for Romney is beyond me.
