I use Windows XP seldom, but when I do its to play the Orange Box, Cortex Command, or Maplestory.

To use Outlook and Visio.

I find Outlook to be better than Mail
I find Visio to be far superior to omni graffle. I'm trying to give omnigraffle a chance but it isnt measuring up.

On my PowerBook use XP to run UCINET / NetDraw for the analysis of social networks and SPSS for stats. On a wobbly Win XP box printing (since printing on Office 2004 was stuffed by upgrade to Leopard and no fix in sight) and Dragon speach recognition for interview transcription. The move by MacSpeach to the Dragon engine and SPSS to cross platform versions should reduce dependence on XP in the not too distant future.

I just realised I haven't really used a PC in ages, not since school at least. At least I can just bring in my MBP this year. The CRTs the school has make my eyes hurt and I can't multitask well without all the niceties I'm used to.

Mainly to run MSN Messenger and have videoconferences with my friends and relatives that are reluctant to use skype.
Also to watch Netflix's watch it instantly movies.

Both of those will be possible on the Mac this year :)

On the MB I use it for apps that are not available for the Mac, or apps that do things better eg MP3Tagger, CDex (mp3 ripper) etc.

Now before everyone starts telling me this can be done on the Mac, please read the next part.

There probably are things for the Mac that do similar, and better, but until the upgrade of Leopard to 10.5.2 (which will hopefully resolve the proxy issue) I am a bit stuck as any app that requires internet access crashes (except FireFox!). Sorry to say that I have no probs on the PC side accessing t'interweb with any apps.

I use it when I abso-fu*king-lutely need to use it.

I will NEVER touch Microsoft's filthy OS unless they come out with a new one/revision that can make my life easier than OS X+Apple has.

Those apps will be for something like .exe files that needs to be run or games that developers didn't make a Mac port for but I have consoles for most games I play. But thank god I have VMware.
