Why does the iPhone 13 Pro Max show so many green/white dots or flares when shooting at night?(like in this video)

since Apple is unlikely to fix this, is there a hack that can be done? (such as placing a small filter or something over the back camera lenses?)

Could be a type of lens flare like with whatever model it was a few years ago that had the purplish one. I noticed this myself one day when I was taking a picture.

Its from light reflecting on the inside of the lens/elements. You can't put anything over the lens to fix it.

Those are reflections of the internal lens elements. On a pro grade big lens they would be totally unacceptable, but on a tiny smartphone lens they’re unavoidable.
