This isn't a problem, per se, as I have easily corrected it with new batteries, but could someone explain why low battery power in my wireless mighty mouse prohibits isight and spaces from working?

For a couple of days, my white 24 would wake up immediately after being put to sleep. Mighty Mouse battery level was 40%. After replacing the batteries, no problem. I wonder if low battery power causes some kind of bluetooth signal corruption?
(Just flailing about in my ignorance.)
