It's amazing how much info they released on the victim and the accused. Both of their addresses and filmed their IDs and just show it to the public.

This is how the press work in Thailand. If you look at other stories on the same newspaper's website you will find many examples of the way the Thai press work.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the term is insulting to ladyboys (in the true sense of the word). Many self-identify with the term.

However, you would never use the term to refer to a transgender or transexual person in the States. Ladyboy ≠ trans.

Ladyboys use that term to describe themselves, you rarely hear the terms transgender or transsexual used in Thailand. It is not considered insulting and is used on official document and in schools and colleges.

Unfortunately with the lack of employment opportunities there are in the Kingdom many of the ladyboys end up working in the sex trade as is the case of the ladyboy in the original link.

This link from Thailand's Got Talent is worth a look. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zFeP87rbKzM

Wow that's crazy, in America they try to keep everything under wraps except for the accused If they are above the age of 18.

Sorry but this does not convince me to do anything to my iPhone. Thousands of iPhones are stolen everyday. Common sense rules.:p
