it shows the same everything unavailable for pick-up even I tried zip codes in other US cities from NY to CA.

I think it's possibly due to holiday shopping peak, too many walk-ins and pickups. In store pick up might be temporarily suspended due to safety measures

probably... that's what someone just said on reddit as well....

although I don't recall Apple Stores doing that in the past?

Aussie apple store iPhone and iPad pickup is still available for some models. Same for Mac.

Glitch. Or inventory for local store was not updated when initial query made (eg. store just now got a UPS delivery). As shown above, I too am showing inventory for 13 Mini at my Apple Store.

Likely updating the website. But if that particular apple store has no stock available, it will show unavailable for pick up at that location.
