Why have so many prayers to God for rain, gone unanswered? As someone who lives in Houston, I really wish I could talk to God and find out exactly why he's picking on us? Maybe some of you with the direct line could find out for me?
    Thanks!

It is because of the Dallas Cowboys. Until Romo is let go the punishment will continue.

    No No No.

It's not God. It's the Illumaniti.

See what happens is a lot of fires create a high pressure system and it rises over Texas and lingers there.

This high pressure system actually keeps those low pressure hurricanes from reaching the Texas shoreline.

It's just to protect the state. ;)

Agreed. Only they have the power to bring back rain to Texas.

God is punishing Texas for being teabagger heaven. God doesn't like teabaggers.

You all notice how everything has gone to hell in Texas since Molly Ivins died?

I just got off the red phone with God. He said something to the effect of our prayers consisting only of "gimme, gimme, gimme." I want this. I want that. Some mention of all the hot air coming out of Austin (I can only assume he's referring to Rick Perry). He ended his rant with "And don't ever call me collect anymore.";)

I couldn't believe it when I heard Bachmann attack Rick Perry on this.

Only one girl to my knowledge died after being administered this in the UK, and it turned out that it wasn't even related to it, but an undiagnosed heart condition. This whole "we have a right to have no medical assistance" crap that the teabaggers come out with is so fundamentally wrong from my view (as a Brit who grew up with the NHS).

I personally would like the NHS to be slightly different, in that if you choose to get Health Insurance and use private healthcare, you can remove yourself from National Insurance, but I doubt that will ever happen.

My feelings are that access to state funded healthcare should be a basic human right. A Government's primary concern should be for the welfare of their citizens and from my point of view, the US Government hasn't been doing this.

The NHS has some flaws, of course. But when it comes to getting people well they do a pretty good job.

    I, for one, feel cheated.

When I moved here I was under the impression that God Blessed Texas...and now I find out he's been ignoring us?

    I'm going back to NY.

    Thanks. :D

I still don't think it's my fault, though. I say we blame the straight, but very curious, women of Houston. ;)

    :D

Religion doesn't like sodomy, because it does not result in procreation.

    Same as blow-jobs and giving-head.

But, some women are not adverse.

(Sorry for the commercial at the front.)
