Why is the white 5s the one in limited/no quantities?

    I could possibly understand the champagne anodization being tough to pull off or something, but the white/silver one is aesthetically nearly exactly the same, save for that sensor.

    So why is this the limited/not available one?

    Just curious, I don't care of course because I'll being sticking with my 5 but..

    This is what I'm reading/hearing.

    b/c supplies are already constrained, and historically black is the most popular iPhone color.

    Is this really the case though? So constrained that there are NONE? Certainly there's a lot more demand than no demand for the white ones and this champagne color in particular that people seem to be changing their minds about ("it looks so ugly" to "its actually not bad")

    Anecdotally, I see a lot more white iPhones.

    And last year black was hard to get! :rolleyes: i don't get apple! They always have to piss their customers off on launch day.

    I agree with this.

    Excuses and excuses. Bottom line is, they deliver what and when they want.

    if you check with the poll in this thread, most people want the black "space grey" as well.

    Last year there wern't enough, so everyone complained. Apple made sure to skew it this year so there would be enough black, because everyone wants one.
