iPod touch Why no alarm or timer sound?

When i clcik stuff i can hear the internal speaker and i can hear it whenever its supposed to beep but whenever i set a timer or alarm it just "visually" goes off and i hear no beeping, but when i am setting my alarm and click which sound i want i can hear the preview... any thoughts?

Have you installed the update?

I don't have my Touch yet but was hoping this was fixed and not a problem anymore, as not everyone was able to confirm it...
