Why no inventory on T-Mobile Unlocked and Factory Unlocked 6/6+ by now?

Well it kind of solves the confusion. So now you can't get those and it's going to come with a t mobile sim regardless kinda wasteful

Things have changed for me. I just figured I'd join t mobiles eip program and just order one like that. That way I just use whatever Apple phone or really any phone I want while waiting for the 6. I don't even really want the 6 but it's all Applw has out right now that's new.

Bahahahahah. this guy ended up getting s locked phone after all that?

[mobster accent] this effing guy [/mobster accent]

We think it might be that Apple stopped their methods because even what they were selling as "the unlocked version" wasn't really what they thought it was.

I had been afraid they would slip up and do this.

Yeah, no. Please stop confusing yourself

Just stop trying to confuse yourself over simple things and enjoy the locked phone you decided to buy.

I've never been part of feeling like a phone wasn't mine. But T-mobiles terms aren't actually bad. And it doesn't burn cash at as fast of a rate at one time. Plus with the incentives that you get. I feel t mobile has my back when I couldn't have my own. Time is everything.

So u complained about the T-Mobile iPhone not working internationally in China, about having a T-Mobile sim in the iPhone, just to say now that you like T-Mobile and u have a locked T-Mobile iPhone. Lol

So, what iphone is better to buy if you are outside the US? I am in Argentina and the bands we use here are similar to the ones from ATT. T-Mobile instead uses an odd band, the 1700 one.

Info

FYI - Verizon version is better:

T MOBILE VERSION:
A1522 (GSM): This is the popular iPhone 6 Plus version that can work properly on most GSM carriers over the world, including United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. Its compatible bands are GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz), UMTS/HSPA+/DC-HSDPA (850, 900, 1700/2100, 1900, 2100 MHz) and LTE (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 28, 29).

VERIZON VERSION
A1522 (CDMA): This is the world phone version of the iPhone 6 Plus, it is the one you get when you buy it through Verizon. As all Verizon iPhones are factory unlocked, it can work on most CDMA and GSM networks in the world. To know if it is compatible with carriers in your country, check out its radio frequencies: CDMA EV-DO Rev. A and Rev. The AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon iPhone 6 are all the same now. They all support the same LTE, CDMA, and UMTS bands. The unlocked version you can get in most of the rest of the world supports all the same bands, but adds the 4 2.5GHz TD-LTE bands that Sprint and Chinese carriers will be using. Unfortunately, only the Sprint version supports them in the US, and those devices are locked. They are unlockable for international use, but you won't be able to use them on any other US network.

I was just gonna say that. All my waiting and for nothing.

usually saying I told you so is frowned upon, but I AM REVELING IN THE FACT THAT I GET TO SAY WE TOLD YOU SO.

You put up such a stubborn sign of ignorance and lack of information. Just to discover and accept the fact that you were in fact wrong and everything that was told to you was correct. Learn to listen. :D:D:D:D:D

Those recent 6/6+ inventory was depleted as fast as I saw them 'available for pickup'. Went to Apple last night, and all are SOLD OUT! The T-Mobile unlocked. UGH!

Really? There is no way today to buy it from the apple store? No 3-5 days shipping anymore?

I went to the Apple Store on Tuesday night to buy an AT&T iPhone 6+. They were out of stock, but they did have a Verizon 6+ in the color and capacity that I wanted. I decided that I'd pay cash for the phone, pop AT&T SIM card in and be good.

Unfortunately, I didn't have my SIM card with me, so the folks at the Apple Store brought me a new one. At about this point one of the Apple employees stated that what I was about to do wouldn't work, that the Verizon iPhone was locked, blah, blah, blah. I popped the SIM card in, called AT&T to activate the new SIM on my account, and then turned my phone on and set it up.

Aside from me forgetting my SIM and creating a little complication, everything worked flawlessly.

Buy the Verizon version if you really wanted the unlocked phone. If I remember it's due to the spectrum of Lte bands Verizon uses the Ftc(or whichever agency it was) that said if you want these Lte bands your phones must be unlocked. But if you wanted to be on a phone payment plan with T-mobile then you're getting a locked phone.
And this community has a wealth of information, just listen up a bit more.

When I bought my T-Mo/unlocked 6+ at the Apple Store, I just told the rep I'd put my AT&T SIM in it when I got home, and set it up there. I left the store with the phone still in its shrink-wrapped box. Perhaps the procedure is different from store to store?

I could have taken it home, but they offered to give me a new SIM and I figured I may as well just do it there. Plus I couldn't resist proving the "Verizon iPhones are locked" guy wrong.

How do you get a Verizon unlocked? Apple reservations try to make you set up a new account. And none in stock generally means you can't just in and ask to buy one full price. Or is there a way?

You have to stop in an Apple store and buy it full price. Its standard procedure to buy any phone at full price. Plenty of inventory is available now.
BTW - a full price ATT or TMo version works on Vzw too as long as you have an existing Vzw account.

I just walked into the Apple Store and bought one. They were hard to find for a while but right around Thanksgiving they were finally more readily available.

U can ask for a device only Verizon at the Apple Store. Also there's a thread if u search to order 1 online at the Verizon website.

Apple lied about this. The t-mobile and ATT phones do have the CDMA bands enabled
