What the lack of Mac support likely means is that it comes with calibration software that is Windows only. Mac OS X includes ColorSync though which is probably even better software than any Windows software the monitor is likely to come with.
If you can, I would take the mini into your local circuit city and hook it up to the monitor. That's what I did when I got an Compaq CRT for my PowerBook. I took the 'Book into the store and hooked it up and saw that not only did it work, but the monitor image was much better when connected to my laptop then when it was connected to the PC in the store.
