Will congressional leaders who voted NO on Fiscal Cliff bill lose reelection

    So, technically, by voting NO, congress people would be voting FOR a Tax INCREASE.

    I know my taxes would go up sharply, and nearly all (if not all) the readers of this post would too if that bill had been defeated.

    Discuss.

    PS, maybe not loose election, but suffer anger from their constituents.

    The electorate has a frustratingly short memory. No one is going to remember this in 2 years.

    Plus I have the impression that there are both "left" and "right" folks who wanted to go over the cliff - the theory being extreme pain now, much better relief later.

    We did, and I do not see any relief in sight.
