    Yes.
You will need to kick it out of recovery with Tinyumbrella.

However, the bb will stay at 6.15.00 once it is upgraded.

ok. I created a custom ispw with the ipad baseband using pwnage unlock.

I cant seem to get tiny umbrella to kick the iphone into recovery.

when i manually put the phone into dfu mode, and go to restore the custom fw, tiny umbrella doesn't recognize the iphone, to kick it out of recovery and i receive a error message in itunes.

Do i need to be in dfu mode? Or could i do the restore with the custom ispw without it in dfu

    Could anybody assist please?

You need to be in pwned dfu mode before you restore to the custom ipsw.
