Will new PowerBook 'Install' disc, install 'Jaguar' on Rev A TiBook....?

Just a quick query folks........

When I receive my new PowerBook, (I know that this is technically iffy ground, but bear with me....... ) will I be able to use the new software install disc to install 'Jaguar' onto my current Rev A TiBook?? Or will Apple have have guarded against this??

I was able to install Jaguar on my friend's Beige G3 with the install disk I got with my iBook. But now the DVD drive doesn't work on her machine, so looks like it's back to 10.1.5

Also, a cautionary note: I had to erase the Mac OSX partition to do the install, since the "upgrade" option was failing...(fortunately her HD had 3 partitions - one for OS X, one for OS 9, and one for data). If you have do do that, make sure to save your data (especially iPhoto which isn't configurable to store files anywhere other than in your home directory).
