Don't know what is wrong with my iphone since I jail broke on 6.1.2 but I know I keep crashing and my phone will not boot into safe mode. I know if I restore my phone I can or jailbreak again so could I possibly chance it by going to apple and telling them that my iphone keeps crashing ever since I updated to 6.1.3?

Forgive me if I'm misunderstanding, but it seems you are saying that you are having problems since JB, and one of your solutions to the problem is to go to Apple store and lie to them because your JB phone is unstable

    Did I get that right??

Go right ahead and take your jailbroken phone in store. Look at your crashlogs to see what the issue is and uninstall the culprit.

No, I am saying I WAS jail broken... I updated to 6.1.3 and now I cannot jailbreak, however since updating to 6.1.3 I've been getting a lot of crashes just like I did when I was jailbroken. Do I go to apple and see if they can replace the device? Or will they say because I was jailbroken before I updated to 6.1.3 they can't help me?

    ----------

The last I checked on Crash Reporter on my phone I got

    AppleIDAuthAgent
    And
    SpymosService

But even after restoring it hasn't been working on 6.1.3

    Nope.
They will tell you to restore and setup as new.
Or you can just tell them you're upset that you lost your JB and ask them to JB a replacement for you:)

6.1.3 is not jailbreakable. If you tell them you jailbroken your device, I think they'll just refuse to help you

Your best bet is to restore your iPhone to 6.1.3 using iTunes. That should fix the unstable problems you have

Tell them that you're experiencing issues with your phone such as extremely poor battery life, dropped wifi signal, and that the device will heat up a lot. Apple will replace it with a refurbished phone. They'll test your phone, if everything is good then they'll make it look as good as new and give it as a replacement to someone else.

Don't let people on their high horses give you a hard time. People always try to benefit themselves and they go around being overly critical of others. It's not like you're trying to replace your phone because it has a scratch.

So, we are on a "high horse" because we don't believe in lying to defraud some one or some company ?

Not hardly. Some of us just choose to do the correct things in life.

I don't mean to start a fight but I don't see what he is doing is any different than all the other people on this forum that has gotten an exchange because jailbreaking has bricked their phone or some sort

You're having a software issue, which in no way justifies a hardware replacement.

Do a clean OS reload and be done with it. Odds are your jailbreak caused issues with the backup you're restoring from.

Woow, the level of reading comprehensions on this forum is astounding.

The OP is now on 6.1.3 after a restore. If restoring the phone does not help remedy the problems the OP should go to the Apple store to have his/her phone diagnosed.

The OP is under no obligation to mention jailbreaking as he/she is not experiencing the said problem on a jailbroken system but on a official unmodified version of the iOS.

It's completely up to Apple to help the OP or deny him/her service.
" ...Apple may deny service for an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch that has installed any unauthorized software."
    Source: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3743

Most people if not all who bring their iPhones to the Apple store have them repaired or replaced as long as the phone is still within the warranty period and shows no physical or water damage.

Most issues after an upgrade from a JB are because the user chose to restore rather than a clean setup, a clean setup should alleviate any issues. If it is still acting up then you know its the hardware and not the software, as starting from a blank slate did not solve the issue.

Thank you.. This is what I was inquiring about. I'm no longer jailbroken and was not trying to beat the system. I'm on 6.1.3 now and have had nothing but issues

    - particular wifi I use being grayed out
    - I use Microsoft exchange for work emails but have a crazy battery drain since this 6.1.3 update (DIDNT have on 6.1.2 with or without jailbreak

Also... Haven't restored from a backup, just using fresh installs of 6.1.3 as apple.com instructed but I guess people were under te assumption I was going to walk into apple with a jailbroken phone and tell a lie. I once was jailbroken.. Don't know if it had affect on my 6.1.3 install but now that I'm in jailbroken.. I've had a LOT of issues

Figured coming here would get answers

Point to a single thread where jb'ing has bricked a device.

The OP wrote one of the most incomprehensible posts ever and everyone else has a reading comprehension problem?

OP - If you went into DFU mode and installed 6.1.3 with no restore from backup, jb is not and was not your problem and mentioning in this thread and to Apple is irrelevant.

Ehhh very difficult to brick, but it is possible, still not convinced the OP followed the correct instructions, DFU restore, setup as new and NOT using a itunes backup to get his info back.

Absolutely - Nowhere in the post does he say he is actually on 6.1.3, only that what will happen if I say I am on 6.1.3 (and he repeats "if I say I am on 6.1.3" twice)

oops, I don't know what I said bricked. I had meant to say how is what the OP is doing any different from all the other people that want to get an exchange because they want a jailbreakable version. (i shouldn't say "has" since not all of them got an exchange)

It's just that I don't see other people bashing at them for wanting to exchange for a jailbreakable version. I just see people saying that they still have a chance to get one that's not on 6.1.3

    http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?p=17078173#post17078173

hmm, now that i look back at a few of those threads i posted on, most were related to a hardware problem but they decided to hold back on the exchange and when something happened that forced them to restore to 6.1.3, they went to obtain an exchange so they could have the chance to rejailbreak

    Hello folks..

Just wanted to let everyone know I did just get back from Apple.. they did a troubleshoot on my phone.. The phone itsself was running at 119 degrees... and from the tech specialist said it was something internal. They tested it on three different apple chargers.. and said the phone was defective. They asked how long I had been on 6.1.3, I told them about five days.. which I have.. Asked if I had the problems prior.. Told them no.. and walked out with a new phone because of some policy apple has with insurance? My insurance doesnt expire on the phone until September 21st, 2013, so if anything goes wrong, they'll replace or fix it.

Went to Verizon about the same issue, they wanted to charge me $89, and ship me a new and/or refurbished phone in two business days.

Either way I was content, but my battery only lasting 3.7 hours, and the wifi blacked out issues I was having, along with bluetooth not pairing was what I went to Apple for.. Only to find out there was actually more damage done (None water or drop related).

Going to treat this device with much greater care.
