I think it will be more expensive this year thanks to these crazy mobs with suits.
I will upgrade to iPhone 12 maybe
I think we'll get a 128 GB base model for the exact same price point this year.
Boy that would be nice. I've got some pretty ill feelings toward Apple with their ridiculous 64 GB base. I'm currently sitting at 41.4 GB used so I could probably get by with the 64 but I don't like feeling like I don't have wiggle room.
Looks like I'll hang with the 128 gig 7 Plus a while longer.
Looks like the Tariffs will include all China made Apple Products!
I am liking my MAX more and more!
The trade war will be long over by the time the next iPhone is released. It's only May. It won't still be going on in September.
The way things are going, I wouldn't count on it.
It will be over in 2 weeks when the first ships arrive from China that will be subject to the 25% tariffs. Probably resolved the day these ships arrive in port.
If the iPhone 11 is affected by tariffs, I'm not buying. I understand why it's being done, but I won't be buying anything affected by tariffs after I was affected by my tax return.
I do not think the tariffs will be resolved as quickly as some here think.
Yeah, "The Art of the Deal" is a work of fiction.
I honestly don't think there is going to be a problem.
Sad imo people are only concerned about the price of future iPhones in this whole tariff and trade war debacle. Priorities / squad goals right? Reeeeee
Since this is an iPhone forum, that's where the focus will be, not on the broader impacts (which indeed are bad). Given the context, you can't make assumptions about posters' priorities.
That’s fair but $150 more seems exaggerated concern
And not really speaking to op so much as people’s replies tho “mobs w suits” seems a bit hyperbolic and unnecessarily heated too
$999 is already not a winner price tag. And prior to tariffs apple hiked prices year over year on their own accord.
They can afford to take the hit with high margins, but will they pass it on to customers and see less sales? That’ll be interesting
Now a company like Amazon would probably try to cover the losses with services. Maybe that's what Apple will try? I'm not certain but that would be great.
They'll be another iPhone released before 2020 (And definitely before 2024 if we're all doomed)
Heck, the stupid steel trade tariffs are still in place with Canada, and amongst many many others.
What percentage do you reckon that under Trump this year it affected your income for the year..? I was thinking that many people could possibly see a 30-40% affect. You have to keep in mind the 25% tariffs are “additional” to any previous taxes so if previously it was 6% it is now at 31% and if it was previously at 13% then it is now at 43% at the border that had to be paid on goods coming in.

Next quarter sales and earnings report will speak for itself

So was “if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor”!
I will take the Art of the Deal any day!
What is the cost for Apple and other tech companies for China stealing our IP.
It certainly adds to the cost of an iPhone since the cost is passed on.
I'm more than happy with the tariffs if it gets China to stop stealing our IP.
Kept my doctor and my daughter who went through two medical bill bankruptcies was finally able to get insurance - she had been denied by all for pre-existing medical conditions she had since birth. That's the deal I'll take.
That’s basically the only lie Obama told.
I have the 7+ 128 GB. The phone runs just fine. Should be good for two or three more years. I'm not really in the upgrade every year camp - more like use it for five years and then upgrade if needed. I used my 2008 MacBook Pro for ten years before the screen died. Ten years for electronics is a reasonable lifetime.
I recently got the XS Max and with prices even as they currently are I will wait much longer now for an upgrade. I don't see any improvements on the horizon or additional needs on my part that appear worth the cost.
