wow. what a cord.

speed: at 6 feet / USB-C 2.0 spec it sure is a slow cable

safety: at PowerDelivery spec PD 2.0 it will not provide the the same charging / current feedback that a PD 3.0 provides. its hard to say if its more "dangerous" since its not a PD 3.0 spec that provides more detailed info about the charging status. all can that can be said it is this is a PD 2.0 spec and that the PD 3.0 spec incorporates info about possible charging malfunctions.

Differences between PD 2.0 and PD 3:0 :
"...includes reporting any malfunction or system change within the device, temperature of the device, or what may be causing hold ups or decreased charging speed, etc. For example, if an over-current or over-voltage occurs while charging, your device will notify you with a data message of the mishap"

I wouldn't use a cable on my $1400 laptop with my invaluable stuff on it I have the slightest shadow of a doubt if the cable is reliable.

I have fried a MacBook Air before with a faulty MagSafe and it and that repair bill was eye-watering...

ok i wont use it it did seem to chage my macbook pro pretty fast though oh well was nice while it lasted

If you want to use MagSafe, just buy the adapter that plugs into your MacBook and into your original USB-C cable. There are plenty on Amazon and some have really positive reviews.

usually the new mac 2018 takes 87 watts will this wire be ok?
Check out this thread: Alternative to MagSafe

I'm using this one problem free https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079PYZJ2B/
