Will you be buying new straps, after news of a redesigned Apple Watch, deeming them incompatible?

As per the title, really.

Myself, I don't think I'll buy any more.

I have plenty, and will just rotate through the ones I already have (about 12.)

What about you?

Doubtful. Not because of the potential change though, I just happen to be super happy with the bands that I have. Currently I’m wearing 3rd party titanium or green alpine on my Ultra when not working out, and when working out Nike band or the green alpine. I feel like I have all of my bases covered.

For me, I have more than enough wristbands, that will last me just about forever.🤪 too bad because I’m planning on getting the next version of the Apple Watch. but that’s show business.

my answer to your question is maybe, s I have an Ultra I am waiting to see the new "blue" ocean band in person to decide whether or not to get it (I currently have orange, yellow and midnight). And I only wear my S7 for sleep tracking so certainly not going to get any more bands for that one.

But, I am not going to believe this rumor until apple announces it, and, if true, it will only be the model 10 not the Ultra and not the SE.
Imagine the mess it will create to have 2 alternative band connectors, people will constantly order/buy the wrong one.
Also, Apple currently offers 50+ different bands (incl Hermes and Ultra) and that business is HIGHLY profitable, probably the highest margin product Apple offers. People will stop buying multiple bands as they do today so Apple would be cutting into their biz ...
And lastly, Ultra would have been the perfect product to introduce a new band connector, but they didn't ...

Considering I just bought an Apple Watch on December 23rd and added 2yrs of Applecare I think I will buy D9 bands until the next iteration comes out, at which point I’ll sell my S9 and either get an S10 or S10 Ultra and repeat.

I knew what Apple Watches were. I didn’t know what they *are* until actually getting my hands on one. So by fall/2024 I’ll probably have 20-30 bands and willjust include them with the watch when I sell it or give it to my sister/brother-in-law.

I purchased an extra black leather Magnetic Link band when I heard Apple was going foolish and removing all leather products! This my favorite band as I can tighten up for workouts and loosen for all day use in seconds!
