Windows 7 on iMac vs. XP on MBP and keyboard

I have Windows XP on my MBP; runs great though battery life is less, runs hotter and fan comes on more. Minor issues.

If I put Windows 7 on an iMac, are there any issues such as it runner hotter and fans coming on more?

I'm using an iHome keyboard at the moment but it's noisy. What would I lose on the Mac OS side if I used a Windows keyboard?
