iPhone X -wish it would open when I look at it!

not sure about you guys but I think the Face ID is nice but I really think it should open when I look at it versus looking at it and also having to use my finger to slide up.

Maybe at least giv the option to open without any extra steps.

Maybe is for privacy issues, but as you comment, we should have that option.

I don't see an extra step. When I raise it toward me I swipe at the same time and it opens.

I know I can't let it lay there out in front of me and open it without using my PW. But, never really used my iPhone that way.

But, options are nice-----and this is first year----things will be modified.

I think OP means opening straight to the home page rather than having to swipe up on the lock screen.

If it did you could not use the lock screen to see notifications since it would open. Also it could be a security issue since you could pull your X out of your pocket (book) to place on a table and it accidentally unlock by it seeing your face.
