WORD: How do I get rid of that annoying animated box with legs guy?

Ok, that things bugs the **** out of me so how can I get rid of it forever? I find that dragging it to the side works but it returns each time I open the word program. What's a permanent fix for that?

Go to Help menu and uncheck 'Use the Office Assistant'

I just type "go away" or "scram" when the assistant offers help. He'll lead you in the right place.
