Seems the Rhodes scholars over at WorldNetDaily hired a plane to fly a banner over the Dallas Cowboys' stadium during this past Sunday's game. The banner read, "Where's the real birth certificate? WND.com".

It was, apparently, supposed to revive interest in this long-dead non-issue. There were only two teensy-weensy problems with their little stunt, however:

    1. The retractable roof of the Cowboys' stadium was closed, and
    2. It looks like they towed the banner during the day, and the Cowboys were playing a night game.
Other than that, it went off without a hitch!

But wait, it gets better. On their site, they actually crowed about it!

Friends, we have an instant classic here. This one's so big it requires both a fail and a facepalm.

Seems like a few honest mistakes from a group of people you disagree with.

    Not that spectacular.

Actually a few (spectacularly) dumb mistakes by a group that holds a position that the facts disagree with.

Hopefully it did not make too many guest workers nervous.

These particular birthers must have suffered birth-related neurological injuries.

I can't believe this is still — indeed has ever been — an issue.

What are they going to come up with next year?

next year? m'eh....more of the same. Why would they need something new for next year when their current campaign is so close to victory? :D

A few honest mistakes? First off, their whole platform is based on dishonesty. This issue has been addressed over and over again. To continue to bring something up again that has already been settled is, well, stupid.

Secondly, it's not just a simple mistake when your entire effort fails. It did not reach the intended target. It is spectacular.....a spectacular waste of money.
