Would a 27" ACD fit in a 27" imac box?

As the title asks ^^

Fairly specific question I know, but I am thinking of selling my ACD and think a box would bump up the price considerably (I have parted with my original one).

I have had a glance on ebay and the boxes for the ACDs are fairly non-existent so I am thinking of buying an imac box and guts from someone...

On the same subject does anyone know if Apple stores would be willing to part of a box if I asked nicely lol?

If I had to guess, i'd say yes, the ACD will defiantly fit in the iMac box bare. However, I doubt the styrofoam inserts for the iMac will accomodate the ACD. So you might need to be prepared to stuff the box with something else to prevent the ACD from bouncing around in the box.

I don't know how considerable is considerable in your opinion, but if I won an auction that read box included and was shipped an iMac box, I'd be less than thrilled. I even think the buyer could file a not as described item unless your auction states iMac box.
