Yes, I tried it. It is as advertised. It is basically the film equivalent of the PS anti-glare fingerprint static-cling screen protectors. If you prefer the film type of screen protectors, and like the anti-glare textured films, this is the way to go. I found it was relatively easy to apply and definitely does reduce glare and fingerprints. The only downside is that it does look a bit grainy on the screen -- the same exact way any anti-glare screen protector does. Of note, it's a dry install (no solution required). I personally like this kind of film, b/c I think it's a bit thicker and more protective in general than the static-cling type protectors, but it ultimately just boils down to personal preference.
