when I opened the install software for Tiger, there is a folder for x code tools.

What is that and what do I do with it, if anything.

Tiger is so cool it isn't funny.

XCode is the programming IDE for OS X. Let's you write applications for OS X. Might not be all that useful if you aren't a programmer or wanting to learn.
