hmm, quite nice from the front. Definitely like the wireless aspect - but I wonder if they'll come with locators so when one gets lost behind the couch you can find it :D

I love it... minus the whole memory input thing. The Hard Drive is one of the main reasons why I like Xbox over Ps2!!! Hopefully they don't get rid of the Hard Drive for the 360

My first impression is so-so. I'm not impressed, but if refined would look great. Even if its not the final product it may be a prototype. Look at the high rez pic, you can tell it was not a cad production.

Only a few more weeks. :)

My belief is that storage will have to be purchased separately. Notice the "bay" on the far right side?

I like the idea of wireless controllers, but I think they should make it possible to use wired ones, especially ones from the first XBOX if the controller layout doesn't change (Although I heard it will be similar to PS2). I also hope they keep an internal hard drive to save game data, as that is one of my favorite things about the current XBOX.

As for the design, I like it. Not to sure about the 360 thing though.

I agree. I think there are small details they could change that would make it look better.

Sorry, not to sound dumb, but is it supposed to stand vertical?
My guess is that it would be similar to the PS2 so yes. But the way the eject button on the drive is placed makes me think no, although that could be easily changed. Also with the sides not being perfectly smooth I would think it would be meant to stand straight up and not lie flat.

I think it's the disc drive that throws it off the most. It may just be the picture because the tray is actually mirrored.
Yeah after looking at it some more I agree about the drive. I the the color has something to do with it too.

looks cool! So this is the Xbox 2? Any rumors on it being backwards compatible with current xbox games? That would be a nice bonus

With the drive lying down, the add-on hard drive plugs in on the left side, on on the top when standing up.

I believe they didn't think it would be backwards compatible but they recently found a way to make it backwards compatible and not be overly expensive. Not exactly sure if this is true though.

okay... how the hell are they cooling it? I mean, cooling a G5 is one thing, but 3 of them?! Maybe they're not G5's but some other IBM PPC?

Looks like an old Dell Optiplex or Demension Desktop (not tower)
Well I haven't seen the other pic (site out of bandwidth, can someone post a mirror?) but that is absolutely fugly! Looks cheap, plasticy (is that even a word?), ya like a dell Optiplex and looks like the toys they would play with in Star Trek. Man I hope the other pic looks better or that this is not the real thing... :(
