I have an Xbox 360 (the one without HDMI :() and a 40" Samsung 1080p LCD screen. I've tried both component and VGA connections. On component, the color is much more vivid (this isn't my photo, but this explains all. Component on the left, VGA on the right). But, for DVDs, the 360 will only upconvert on VGA. So, with component, games look good and movies look like crap, and vice versa for VGA. Does anyone know of a decent solution here? I've tried messing with my TV settings, but I just can't get the colors on VGA to look as good as they do on component. Is there an easy way to make VGA look as good? Or do I just need to resort to switching cables whenever I go between games and movies?

Have you adjusted the VGA color from the system settings blade. Maybe change the setting to fully expanded.
