And also a really good movie. If you like the westren Fist Full of Dollars, then you love the movie Yojimbo.

I think yojimbo translates to something like bodyguard...

A believe that A Fist Full of Dollars was based on Yojimbo. Many of the 1960s westerns were based on Kurosawa films.

i've been quite pleased with yojimbo and ended up buying it. nice way to keep track of all the junk i seem to accumulate every day. i especially like their web archiving feature...allows me to read websites offline

Yeah, Fist Full of Dollars is almost plagiarism. I think the other notable film is The Magnificent Seven, based of The Seven Samurai.

nice idea but one question - does you require .mac to be able to use it on multiple machines? if it does i may not bother. .mac? .meh!

This is exactly the kind of thing I have been looking for. I don't know about anyone else, but I have a whole folder full of text files with numbers to remember, and that kind of thing. The encryption thing caught my eye too, as I'm kind of a freak for that.
My only question comes from the review. When Dennis said " I’d also like the ability to more easily move data between applications", is he referring to accessing the stored information from other applications, or does Yojimbo keep track of actual files? And if so, does it move them, copy them, or link to them relatively? I'd be trying it right now, but I'm stuck on my windoze machine at work

This sounds like a great idea. :)

Sounds almost more like a portable version of Entourage's project manager, than what .Mac does, though? Mmmm, I'd like help synchronizing my home folders, minus library preference files, essentially. Like keeping two copies of iTunes in sync.

And yes, I am also a Kurosawa fan, and also really liked Yojimbo. :) It wasn't quite up there with Madadayo or Ikiru for me, but, a very nice movie. :)
