So, I was wondering, who is truly the youngest active MacRumors member?
I thought that one needed to be 13 and over to sign up. So, I'm sure, 13. And anyway, this is kind of a creepy thing to ask... predator-magnet much?
Plus there's always the 18-and-under threads, I've seen a few in my day.
I remember that I started reading AI in 1999 (I was 14), and MacRumors I think in the next couple years after that...
Well, all I know is that I'm too old to be cool anymore, and not old enough to be officially a Creepy Old Guy yet, so I'm indefinitely stuck in the "who is this annoying a**tard", anyway?" group.
Sorry, I didn't want to come across like a 'predator-magnet' and wasn't aware of the age limit. I was just interested in the popularity of MacRumors with the 'younger generations'...
I'm 3 months, and 4 days.
WOW! How did you manage to get to 800 posts so quickly? Who's a clever boy...
ummm rude and crazy-suspicious much?
If the thread's making you concerned about ishoos like that, this ain't the way to address them
OP, i think there's some pretty young people here. I believe the youngest I've come across is about 14, and I think they're not a lone case, so it would seem the age range goes right to as young as they can be <shrug>
Interesting question. Would be fun also to know the oldest--if there's mac-wielding grannies and grandpas out there, I'd sure love to know
Yes, there are some grandparents on this board.
Mac-wielding grandpa here, but I'm certainly not the oldest: there is at least one 74-year-old, but he only posts in the PRSI Forum, and he doesn't actually have a Mac...
@iJH, what would 48 be in, category wise? Old fart?
How many times over?
Hey, don't ask him such complex maths questions, he hasn't even learnt addition yet, let alone division..
Hey man I'm with you, at 55 I'm definitely an annoying old b**tard!
I joined the forum when I was 13, back in 2006. I'm 15 now, so I know I don't qualify for the youngest.
I think Mammoth joined when he was 12, around the same time I did, and PowerFullMac is 13, I think.
Finalday, I don't know about 48, but at 68 I definitely qualify.
16 over here, so not one of the youngest, pretty sure i'm near the average instead.
Wasn't there a thread about this some time ago? I reckon someone mentioned they were 12. Oh and lets not forget we have an 8 year old as an active member
Lol @ the Macrumors bot. He's growing up so fast!
cool, lets expose the little sub-13 twit so he can have his account frozen for lying about his age ....
Well, it is in the rules so it would apply to the Bot, no?
I joined in October 2007, when I was still 13.
*looks at 1,520 posts*
I think I need to kick this habit.
Yep, it's easy to spend too much time on MR.
Joined when I was 14, am 15 now (Been here for a year and a bit). Definitely not the youngest but in relation to some of the other members here, I'm sure I'm a scary ruffian in their eyes
Haven't had a Mac as long as I've been here, though. Stupid Mac-owner wannabe days... blindly arguing how Macs are supreme although I'd only ever used one for about 2 hours in total
I'm 14, 15 in September. Yes, that means that I signed up almost a full year ahead of the rules.
I was probably the youngest for a little bit. Not anymore, though.
I joined in Nov. of 2005. when I was 22, Im 26 now.
