Love him or Hate him, there's never been a president quite like Donald Trump before.

So, lets have a bit of childish fun. For or against, what are the best one line descriptors you have for him?

My current top 2 added as a vote :p

I don’t think it’s necessary to have yet another thread of this nature, especially when pretty much every political thread involves negative characterizations of Trump. I’ve already stated my opinion of the President many times, as have most regular posters here.

In other words, I think there’s far more constructive commentary to be had.

Fair enough. Then again, if we can't laugh at ourselves, who can we laugh at?

Vladimir Putin? He may have something on Trump but no one believes anything any more so even if there actually is a certain tape that's sometimes alluded to in this forum,

    a) Trump's capable of dismissing its grainy truths with a wave of hand and "Fake News!" and

    b) the USA didn't fall over in shock from hearing that Trump has consorted with porn stars and tried to hush them up, so

    c) the suggestion that he may have been taped while frolicking with a couple FSB agents posing as sex workers,,,, [shrug].
Poor Vladimir. His own naiveté about us may have undone him. We used to be quite prudish in the USA, at least in public. Those days are gone and after Donald Trump they're probably never coming back. That pendulum has been derailed.

However, if we're not inclined to laugh at Putin, I'm not sure we should be laughing at ourselves either. We managed to elect this moron Trump to our highest office. We should be weeping and gnashing our teeth. But maybe that part comes after the intermission. How long is this movie anyway? Even Gone with the Wind only ran four hours, no? This thing with Trump seems endless already.

And so to my descriptor of Trump: The Endless Gong Show.

But you’re not laughing at yourself... unless you’re you’re actually Donald Trump.

Look, I don’t think Trump is a good president or someone to aspire to morally, but when the punchline to every joke is “Trump” it becomes nauseating. Frankly it probably drives his supporters.

The emperor is naked, and the few voices pointing out he was naked were ignored and shut up. Will Good Knight Mueller or a Blue Tsunami in November save us from this eyesore? To be continued....

Exactly what you'd expect to get if you put a stereotypical old guy who watches Fox News all day into office?

I think he is sneaky, stubborn, and an egomaniac.
Didn’t see that as an option.

It’s sad how both sides enjoy engaging in petty childish name calling instead of debating real issues. It was wrong when the Republicans did it with Obama, and it’s still wrong when the Democrats do it with Trump no matter how much they dislike the other side. All it does is contribute to the extreme partisanship that is destroying our country.

I must admit but I thank him for winning for getting myself and literally every non-political person I know into politics..... for the other side that is. He’s an imbecile that has destroyed the image of the USA so badly it’s going to take decades to rebuild. I thank him for highlighting who among us is homophobic, racist.... it makes ignoring them much easier!

This is why he has been put there by the network of subversives like Bannon, Mercer and the oligarchs. If Putin thinks he has some control, he is delusional - they are working to make him look like an enemy of humanity too. They want loons like Trump and Putin to create conflict and hate so that populations lose faith in the potential for good government. This is a process called demoralization. The next phase is normalization to an unregulated but authoritarian system in which the winners at the top take it all and everyone else have "complete freedom" to fight for scraps.

Their plans aren't working too well because people like you are lifting your eyes from the addictive little black mirror that was distracting you and fighting back.

Excellent comment! I do enjoy your insights :)

I was implying laughing at the immense split between the right and the left when I said “us”. That’s why I went with such extreme differences on the poll choices.

Personally I think Donald Trump is the greatest political threat to the world in 60 years. His actions are dangerous to the economy, human equality, the environment and to world peace. On the other hand I also admire how well he has navigated the system. He pulled off the impossible not once, but hundreds of times to get to where he is. In doing so he has exposed a lot of problems out there and gave a voice to people who were previously ignored, which is important.

Either way. We have what we have. We can be nauseated and ignore the situation or poke some fun at what we have become and chat about it.

    I prefer to chat.

    Are you white?

I ask, because it's hard to chat when a major core of Trump's philosophy seems to be, "people of color aren't wanted here."

As a person of color, there's no way to respond to that, other than to hope he and his supporters get voted out of power as soon as possible.

Trump is an idiot, and has said plenty of racist things, but at stretching it to say that is a core part of his philosophy. And why should it matter if the person you were directing is white, or any other color?

Because when talking about race, knowing the race of the person you are talking to can help in understanding where they are coming from.

As for Trump, let's see. Travel ban. Wall on the Mexican border. Discontinued DACA. Wants to end "chain migration," don't want immigrants from s-hole countries, only from countries like Norway. Maybe "core philosophy" isn't the right term, but racism does seem to inform a lot of his policies.
