Lawsuit Pits Security Against Civil Liberties

Should 'security' trump your civil rights? Benjamin Franklin is quoted as saying (paraphrased): If you give up you liberty for security, you deserve neither.

But... where is the "security" in that arrestment?

Arrest random people just for their name of for their religion is not a matter of security, is a matter of non-sense.

I remember a couple of cases where an American guy killed several with his gun. And this doesn't allow police to arrest every blond-guy in the country without no reason.

    This "state-of-fear" is a truly shame :(

It's not too awfully difficult to use the non-paraphrased quote of Franklin.

It seems "essential" and "a little temporary" have become inconsequential on the Internets.

Does it change from the spirit of using that quote in this case? or are you indicating that no "essential" liberty is being given up? and that the safety is not "temporary"?
