Damn, Donald Trump is having a really, really bad 4 weeks. His campaign is in chaos. Hillary and Democratic PACs about to open a can of whoop ass (running TV ads) in swing states, Trump has no money, sent out email begging for $100,000 over the weekend and he's traveling to Scotland, of all places. Best reality TV show EVER!

The wheels are coming off. You don't fire your campaign manager if things are going well. I guess Donald is believing those "bogus" poll numbers. :D

CNN is reporting that it was a tough weekend at Trump HQ. And Ivanka even sat down with her Dad and said if he didn't get rid of Lewandowski, that she couldn't help.

    Interesting.

The only scary thing is that by firing his campaign manager he might get someone to replace him that is actually competent.

Manafort is Trump's campaign chairman, not his campaign manager. Though he is apparently in charge as of today.

Something had to give. Their trajectory was crash and burn with thrusters on full. Trump still faces Yuge problems (write up on each here):

    • A skeletal campaign staff.
    • Not enough money, and little inclination to raise it.
    • Outgunned on the airwaves.
    • Not enough backup from his allies.
    • A popular president opposing him.
    • A demographic disadvantage.
    • An electoral college disadvantage.
    • A candidate with a lethal combination of dreadful strategic instincts and absolute certainty of his own brilliance.
The last one is the killer. Until Trump can discipline his mouth - which seems highly unlikely - he'll continue toward crash and burn.

That might be the best description of the Trump campaign strategy, I've read. All of the sudden, the campaign has to worry about landing this albatross, but there's no parachutes, and the landing gear was thrown out months ago.

If they do manage to land this thing, it'll be ugly.

So yeah, this could make Trump a greater threat in the general. Presuming he agrees with Manafort's changes.

Ah, thank you. You'd think hanging around PSRI I'd know who's who in Trumpworld.
